After feedback from multiple people in relation to the difficulty faced in understanding the poem, I have decided to write a paraphrase.

1st Paragraph:
The person's head was the devil's drum- this is suggesting that the person was facing many difficulties; the devil was beating on the person's head. 
However, he hadn't shared his difficulties with anyone; he suffered in silence.
The nerves in his head have been compared to the strings of percussion instruments; the difficulties made his nerves 'vibrate'.
This caused a chaos.

2nd Paragraph:
The person's expressions were fake and not representative of his own feelings.
The world saw his fake expressions but they were not able to detect the troubles behind that face.
Silhouette is essentially the border line of objects and is usually represented in black lines. Although, silhouette is already dark but the phrase "Silhouette of darkness", is important because the person was facing difficulties (Darkness) and his expressions that were on display were just a fraction (border) of his true feelings.

3rd Paragraph:
The person heard bits and pieces of information from around- The 'Ravens' carried the information.
He used his apparent mastery and maturity to decipher that information only to lead to a whole array of misinterpretations which escalated his difficulties.

4th Paragraph:
Politicians are great with words. They possess skills to convince the public that all their problems will be solved; and it's only later that the people realize that those were just fancy words. The person here has been compared to the politician because he spoke confidently and did not let people get an idea of his struggles.

5th Paragraph:
The person is not someone specific. His struggle, not only with his difficulties but also with how he handles them, is a natural thing that everyone goes through. But this made him stronger, strong enough to not give up and face the world, again!

I speak to the attendant at the counter. It's not the first time I'm there. I recognize her, in her spectacles, and despite the face-covering she wears. Covid was over long ago, so I'm not sure what she's worried about. I don't bother to ask, our interaction transcends into something more pivotal. I glance through the piece of paper in front of me. I leave for the States in less than a week — to pursue my second degree, a master’s in computer science at the University of California San Diego. The first one was a bachelor’s in biochemical engineering and biotechnology, from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. "How's Mihir?", my aunt asked my mother a day before I was scheduled to fly out to the States. My mother has been a creative creature for as long as my memory serves me, and her reply only reinforced that belief  — "He seems fine, but only once he writes his blog a year and a half later, will we know for sure." I remember this exchange distinctly, and moreover I wrote it down in my diary  — something I had decided to maintain over the course of the next foreseeable future.
